Light is private

The city survives under leased warmth and synthetic skies.

Sia hears what leaks

Sound arrives as colour. Light has weight. The fracture has a frequency.

The Black Sun answers

Not an eclipse. Not a machine. Something old enough to feel new.

The Story, In One Breath

A world where light is rationed, and one girl hears the signal hidden inside the dark.

Mystery

The unknown arrives as feeling before it becomes fact.

Light

Warmth, access, and morning have become instruments of power.

Dream

Beneath the machine, something older is trying to wake.

In 2036, the sun has been hijacked and sold back to humanity as a subscription. A sixteen-year-old synesthete named Sia hears what no one else can: a signal leaking through a fractured sky.

What she finds is not proof, prophecy, or a lesson from the past. It is a first contact with the unknown, and the first sign that the dark is listening back.

The Dim Zone

Grey streets.
Metered light.
No true morning.

Most people live under synthetic skies. You pay per minute at a Sun-Booth for UV light. Clean air and golden warmth exist only inside the domes of the wealthy.

Sun-Booth

Warmth measured in minutes.

SYNLIGHT™

The Consortium's synthetic sun. Filtered, optimized, safe. Their words, not ours.

Sun-Booths

Pay-per-minute UV kiosks on grey streets. Three minutes costs a day's meal.

Orbital Mirrors

Real sunlight, beamed into private domes. Golden. Warm. Exclusively for those who can afford reality.

Sia · Synesthete

She hears colour.
She feels light on her skin like a language.

Sia is sixteen. Neurodivergent. She experiences the world in frequencies most people cannot perceive — sound arrives as colour, light has texture and weight. She wears noise-canceling headphones to keep the world from overwhelming her.

When reality fractures, her difference becomes the only sense that works.

The Dream Beneath

The machine is new.
The mystery is older.

The Consortium calls it energy. Sia feels something beneath it: old knowledge, buried light, and a dream trying to remember itself.

The story stays close to mystery. No maps yet. No rules yet. Just a signal moving through the dark like an old story waking up.

Writer profile

Avantika Mishra writes where myth meets the tide.

Avantika leads the storyworld and IP direction for Sia. A writer and surfer, she brings a body-level relationship with land and sea to a future where nature has been controlled, sold, and misunderstood.

Her grounding in mythology and literature gives the world a deeper current: old stories as memory, rhythm, moral weather, and atmosphere rather than exposition.

To become Sia is to trust what only you can sense, and to find light where the world has taught everyone else to see darkness.
